Juan López Selección No. 2 is an understated regular-production Cuban robusto: 124 mm × 50, medium body, Vuelta Abajo leaf. It aims at a clean Havana profile without harshness.
The wrapper is typically oily and reddish-brown. Cold draw shows wood and nut. Once lit, roast, light honey and white pepper join in.
Compared with Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No. 2 it is less creamy and more woody-spicy. Strength stays mid-range and balanced. About 45 minutes. Works with strong coffee or a mild whisky; suitable for newer and experienced smokers.
